I'm feeling fantastic right now :D
I got up at 5.45 am, I had a coffee, I ironed the bf's shirt for the morning, the bus timetable is back to normal, so he only has to get one bus in the morning to work, I picked up Shirley from Cameri and I rode her aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall the way home!
I must admit I was pretty terrified about riding on those state roads, there just isn't much width and people never slow down or leave much room when overtaking cyclists. But it was a BREEZE! Before I knew it I was in Veveri and then BAM I was at the train tracks, where I promptly wimped out and walked my bike over the bridge. Hey, it's pretty damn narrow and windey and I didn't want to get hurt ;)
My thighs are complaining a teensy bit and I was drenched in sweat by the time I got home, but after a shower I was ready to take on the WORLD!
I'm pretty darn pleased with myself and I'm so glad to have Shirley here! It will make trips to the Brico and supermercati so much easier and I can start exploring. For real! :D
5.6 miles or 9km. I'm pretty flipping stoked.
Then again, this is flat land, there were only two uphill parts (seeing as I wimped out on the bridge), but still, 9km :D What a great way to start the day!
